The Obamas are going to plant 55 varieties of vegetables on 1100 square feet of the White House lawn. They are hoping this will inspire other Americans to start growing their own food. I say, it's about time. Bush would have had us eating corporate, processed crap out of cans supplied by big agro-industrial, oil-drinking operations owned by his poker buddies. I stayed in Dubuque, Iowa (USA). And as I walked around, I noticed that people did not like gardening. Just lawn between trees. It seemed boring!
