does anyone know any recipes for fruit syrup
Nstetler: What kind of syrup are you looking for? When I make a "fresh fruit salad" I make a syrup from: honey, brown or white sugar, white wine or club soda. If I have lets say the juice from cut watermelon,or from lemons,or limes or oranges I'll add that. Pour this onto fruit thats been "cut up" ~ don't add let's say bananas till the day of the party/picnic/dinner~ otherwise they'll turn brown!!! Fresh Fruit Salad 1/2 Watermelon~ seeded or seedless, your preferance~use a melon baller to make mouth sized pieces! 4 Granny Smith Apples, cored, and cut into chunks 1 Cantalope, seeded & cut into chunks 1 Honeydew Melon, seeded & cut into chunks Grapes, your preferance as to color 1 bag dried Cranberries 1 lemon,1lime ~juiced without seeds to taste *bananas ~2 sliced, optional Combine all cut fruits in a large container or glass bowl, in a large measuring cup mix syrup sepratley. Taste syrup, adjust till it's to your liking. Pour mixture over fruit and chill lightly covered till ready to serve! |
