A long time I was in a wonderful weight loss group entitled Girl Power. It was based on love, loving the Higher Power (Multifaith), positive emotional support and sharing stories of both struggle and success. All are loved and all are invited. Let's work as a team. My plan is open for all suggestions and I do not promote any one dietary program. But I do promote emotional support.
Here is my plan and feel free to improvise.
1. Creating a Prayer for Spiritual Guidance: "Oh Great Spirit of Love, Great Goddess, I love you and wish for your guidance today to make better food choice decisions, to become healthier and to rejoice in becoming healthier and happer. I pray for abundance of love for all who join our group and the courage to love who we are no matter what point of the weight loss journey we are on. May we become healthier, stronger, and more creative.
2. Today I will focus on the food journal. Keeping a food journal helps. Mindfulness is power.
3. Also instead of going for a candy bar, I will replace it with a more positive behavior such as writing a poem.
4. All faiths welcome. Let's share and let's get well together! I myself need to lose 80 lbs. Let's walk together to being happier, healthier and enjoying our life because we feel good with our own self empowerment.
