I have been trying to be vegetarian for awhile now but everytime I attempt this process, my wife tends to throw a hissy fit about it. All I want is be healthy and I would like her to be healthy too, she doesn't have to be vegetarian like me. Just other day she went to the grocery store and said she wasn't fixing anything for dinner that I could eat, unless I ate the meat that was in it. She also says if I tried becoming vegetarian she would eat an entire bucket of chicken wings in front of me which she knows is one of my favorite foods. What exactly should I do? I think she is acting immature about it and needs to encourage me to do something I want to do.

I know its been a year since you posted but I just clicked on this thread.     Hows it going with the vegetarian thread.      Maybe with more people becoming aware of vegetarianism it will become less of a hassle for those trying it.   it makes it so much easier if you have support.    Yes I think your wife might be acting a bit immature but once she gets used to the idea she'll probably lighted up.      Maybe she was thinking about the extra meals she'd have to make.

My daughter became a vegetarian about 2 years ago and when she visits  Im sure to have lots of non meat products for her.    I know that you need the support.     I hope after a year you've been able to stop and if you did stop that it was because you didn't care for it and not because of lack of support.     Good Luck!!
