About two years ago, I lost 130 lbs. just by dieting and walking about 7 miles a day and reached my goal weight of 140.  Now, I seem to have what I call an eating disorder.  I live on coffee and water during the day and then at 9:00 pm, something happens and I start eating.  The things I eat are healthy, but the amount I am eating would be considered a binge.  I know what I need to do to in order to break this cycle, but it hasn't worked.  My metabolism is messed up big time.  Anybody here relate?

Lisa:

Your coffee is an addiction. And your eating problem is likely psychological as well. See a counsellor.

food can be an addiction like any other...you obviously have determination and I applaud you for your accomplishment....takes discipline and great effort...Smile

I have been a gym rat for over 30 years and also an avid walker...walk about 7-8 miles every day..what keeps the weight off is consistant eating...as much as possible to stay between the lines as far as healthy eating...and getting plenty of fluids and rest...gotta get your rest..that can drag you back as much as anything..

God bless and be well!

Today's cycle commute was 12½ km. Brown rice was the healthiest part of my diet.

Why aren’t you fueling your body with healthful foods throughout the day?

Did you really think the human body can subsist on coffee and water for the entire day and not have some sort of adverse effect such as overeating or feeling poorly?

Can you set up an eating plan of 6 small meals throughout the day? Or three squares and a couple of snacks? Aren't you worth the time to properly care for yourself and pursue a healthful eating plan?

This is exactly what I did.....break your meals up so you have protein at each, and make them equal in calories. I feel like I'm always eating. I'm never hungry, and I don't exercise any more than I used to, and I have recently lost a very significant amount of weight. I have one more size to lose before I'm really happy.....

The original poster neglects herself like a `maintenance free' car!

«On closer inspection one could see that there was no hood, that is, no access panel permitting access to the car’s engine. Engine maintenance required taking out the whole front end of the car body, preferably in some establishment with the required space and equipment. This was not supposed to happen often, as the engine was designed to need an oil change only after 50,000 km (32,000 miles) and to automatically send a radio message to a garage a short time before any required maintenance. Filling the windshield washer tank was done by a capless ball valve, right next to the capless gas tank ball valve. Volvo surveys had found (among many other things) that women drivers considered caps to be a major nuisance.»

Nice picture.

The 9 p.m. craving? I find it has something to do with watching fast food restaurant commercials.. I try and fast forward through this marketing attack on my head late at night..

But oh how I dream about IHOPs all you can eat pancakes..

I need help here too.

Probably not watch the Iron Chef programs late at night and pick a good book instead.

Thanks!
