Captain Sully. He took a daring decision to land his disabled airplane in the middle of the Hudson River in mid-winter and everyone survived. God piloted that plane then , and made sure that everyone was going to survive. He should win person of the year.
The Person who has inspired me this year? It has to be my Little Sister Lisa (Elizabeth Edwards)! My little sister was diognosed with brain and lunge cancer in January! After going in to see her Doctor for Migraine Headaches. After having a series of Chemotherapy, and Radiation Therapy at Liberty Hospital! The cancer did not shrink! so they sent her down to North Kansas City Hospital to have a biopsy done on one of the cells in her brain! It was diagnosed as Melanoma type cancer, and her doctor gave her eight months to live! My sister did not give up, she go a hold of a couple of Doctors from MD Anderson in Houston Texas! But before she could go to MD Anderson, her insurance company wanted her to go see a Doctor at KU Med Center! After my Sister talked with the Doctor, and the Doctor had a chance to look at the MRI's and CT Scans. The Doctor filed all the proper paperwork, and my Sister went to MD Anderson! After a couple of back and forth trips, MD Anderson did a Gama Knife Radiation on the areas in her brain, where the cancer was! They did another MRI and CT Scan, and all the cancer was dead in her brain! Then five weeks later, she had another MRI and CT Scan, and they found new cancerious growth in her brain, the cancer in her lunges were larger, and they found new growths of cancer on her liver and spleen Now since January, My Sister has never given up on her Christian beliefs, she is a firm believer that God will cure her of all the cancer, but she has to do his will, and follow his direction! My sister faith and her beliefs has inspired me to change my life around and seek God. My Sister is Bald, she has a scar that goes across her forhead, she has side effects from all the medication she is taken, and through it all, she holds true to her religious beliefs! Elizabeth Edwards is my nominee for the person who has inspired me the most!!! Thank;....Patrick Kirwan....
