Listening to certain types of
Christian music and viewing beautiful paintings both inspire me.

And then I like to paint or make music and write songs myself.

I do not think that I can add an image to this post the way I would like.
However, this is a link to one of my paintings.
Hope you are able to access it.

Happy New Year!

Blessings from,

This poem is inspirational to me and many others. I never realized who the author was and the story behind it until I was searching for the lyrics today.

                                                    "Footprints In The Sand"

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,

other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,

when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat, I could see only one set of

footprints, so I said to the Lord,

"You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always.

But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life,

there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,

"The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child,

is when I carried you."

one of my favorite poems is footprints in the sand..and also..."I asked Jesus how much he loved me and he stretched out his arms and said..this much, then he died"...

I get inspired by listening to beautiful music and writing poetry, seeing the beauty that God created when I step out my front door...the sky, the trees, the grass...all of it.
