Hello everyone.  My name is Barbara and I have just been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.  I go to see the specialist on Tuesday.  I don't know when he will biopsy.  I will find out then.  I am so scared.  My doctor said that the mass was small and that it is early stage.  But, I am having trouble breathing and chest pain.  This is all so new to me.  I have always taken care of everyone else.  I don't know how to take care of myself.  I am scared and feel like no one knows what I am going through.  I just needed to unload and would like to get some input from others who are going though this themselves.

Dear Barbara,

I hope your doctor visit Tuesday went well.  I am a prostate cancer survivor so I understand a little of what you are going through.

Unfortunately this is not a very active board and I noticed your post while moving a thread here from another board. So nobody has responded to you yet.

I can understand your concerns and if you want to talk about them please feel free. I'll check regularly, and I'll atomatically be notifed of any new posts on this thread from now on.

I wish you all the best, and I'll say a prayer for you which, according to my faith, can never hurt and often helps.

All the best... and do write! I WILL respond!

Hi Barbara,

I had cancer back in 2004 and seem to be doing fine now.  Regardless of the diagnosis you do still have hope and a future.  Treatments are much better these days than they used to be.  Hang in there and be assured we are all pulling for you and wishing you the best.

Take care,
