I've done a placement, as well as worked for a time, at 2 different adult day care centres. These were places primarly for persons with alzheimer's disease. These places were like relief for family, as well as a place for the clients to come and have a good time. The way they generally were set up was that the clients would arrive to coffee/ tea and a snack (muffins or toast). Then morning programs would begin (the group would be divided up). Sometimes before exercise, we would do a group activity. Then it would be exercise, then lunch (which was provided to the clients). Then it was afternoon program and then by 2:30pm or 3pmish it would be time to go home.
