This should be fun. How has "faith alone" been a real life failure? You can't even define it so I doubt you'll be able to analyze it. but we'll see.
I've already given you more than a few examples.
How many more do you need?
How many more ministers and writers must go down in flames?
You said that you "live and die by your citations" so please cite where you gave the examples that "faith alone is a real life failure".
How about "the whole darn thread"?
I've made mention of the critics of the church who have gone down in flames for lying about themselves, their credentials, and the people they're talking about.
I've made mention of the "Good Christians" who use their faith as an excuse to be hateful towards others.
Heck, you yourself have been rather rude and dodged the question on more than a few occasions.
You didn't actually cite a post, but we both knew that you wouldn't. One more chance, please cite the post where you gave the examples that "faith alone is a real life failure".
And then you'd have to show how those examples prove that "faith alone is a real life failure". All you've shown is that Christians sometimes sin. That is a Biblical concept - i.e. the bible does not teach that upon conversion a person will never sin again. But none of what you refer to above proves your point. But you already know that.
I apologize that I, and Christianity as a whole, has too many scholars backing up its history and theology for you to be able to show that the Mormon religion has any Biblical basis.
Way to miss my point.
I could say "kittens are furry" and you'd still whip someone else out to argue it.
As far as debating from the Bible, I'll let you pick the topic.
...if you're man enough to state what you think about the topic.
Sorry but if the LDS position is correct then they should be able to cite scholars who back themup. If an expertin the field that is under discussion has view on that topic it should be given more weight than that of a layman. It doesn't end the discussion but if there is no cogent counter argument it makes that side look weak.
