Iwas born and raised in the Byzantine Catholic church. It is very much like the Eastern or Russian Orthodox Rite only we are under the Pope. It is a very beautiful Rite with so much meaning.We have so many beautiful customs such as Easter blessing of baskets of food, and the traditional Christmas Eve meatless supper with 12 courses. We Bless ourselves,or Cross ourselves from right to left like the Orthodox do and we have many icons rather than statues. Does anyone else here belong to the Byzantine church? I would like to hear from other members of this Eastern Rite.
