Hello folks,

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about different faiths. Here's my thing, though. I understand the Catholic church's stance on abortion. However, I'm kinda tired of reading about it all the time, from both sides (anti and pro).

Is there a book, website, etc, that I can learn about Catholicism without having that topic constantly being the center of focus?

I'm curious about Catholicism, because it's my husband's family's faith and I have watched a bit of EWTN (Mother Angelica's rosary, divine mercy chaplet in song, and a couple of documentaries). I'd just like to learn more... I'm just burned out on hearing about abortion all the time (I visited a church, and loved the experience, and then was cornered by a guy bragging about his activities at a local clinic... I didn't want to be rude, but I just didn't care so I smiled and nodded and listened).

I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to be rude, I'm not. I understand what the official stance on the topic is, and I'd just like to move on, you know?
