Hi, guys! This my first post and what I would like to know is do any of  you  find it hard to discuss Buddhism, even a the principles of it , with someone of another faith without them deeming it a 'cult' and turning a deaf ear? I have experience it quite often, but they will agree with me until I mention the 'B' word!  And if it has, hoe do you deal with the frustration?

Hi packratt,

Welcome.

Usually, I only discuss Buddhism with other Buddhists, or people who have expressed an interest in learning about Buddhism.

A lot of people are interested in the principles of Buddhism, even to the point of studying Buddhism, without wanting to be associated with it as a religion. So if they want principles, I would just give them principles. If they want Buddhism, give them Buddhism. If they end up practicing Buddhist principles without calling themselves Buddhists, no problem! :)

BTW, this board is pretty dead. Come on over to the Buddhism board, so you can talk to someone besides me. :)
