Hi mybeach.
You may want to start a seperate post on this since many people might not see your question buried on this thread of a different title. Anyway, there nothing inherently wrong with simply living with your boyfriend before marriage. The Church discourages it, however, because when two people live together (especially if they share a room or bed) it is easier for them to fall into what the Church considers sinful acts such as pre-maritial sex. Also, in our secular culture, when two people "live together" others just assume they are having sex so when people see two Catholics living together before marriage they think these people are hypocrites (even if nothing inappropriate is going on). Personally, I would recommend against it unless there is a real need (e.g. economic necessity). |
