Paganism was accidently founded by Irish Catholic schoolgirl named Serena Mew, into whom was trying to Westernize the Tao Te Ching in her school journal in 1923. When the Pope heard of the new religion, he gave Serena his blessings. She then established the Council of Man in the British/Irish enclave the Isle of Man, into whom chose her as the Guardian of the faith. She went by the name Ravenheart, into whom died in 2002 and was succeeded by Starhawk, into whom was known for her "witchcraft" books.

The central belief of Paganism is Gaia as the embodiment of Ultimate Reality. The faith has numerous forms -- including Wicca -- and the central text is the Holy Nexus, from the Latin for "network.". It resembles the Tao Te Ching. The house of worship is the pendragon. Since some countries such as the United States has a Pagan minority, there are no pendragons, although there are loosely organized groups for Pagans into which depends on their philosophies.

Paganism has some taboos that may be a bit controversial. Sex, wine and lamb are forbidden because they are sacred. Worldly pleasures such as liquor, tobacco, gambling and pornography are condemned as wasteful by the Nexus. Of course, Pagans are free to discuss sexual topics and use certain phrenalia such as candles and crystals.

Paganism is now 90 years old and will become a century old. The older it becomes, the more established it becomes. Because of that, we must be more responsible in every endeavor of our lives. Even I must comply. In other words, the party's over.

Blessed be, my Pagan friends.

Blessed Freestyle:

Stuff happens. The world is uncontrollable.

Religious guilt arises.

Play at recreation; renew your soul.

Meet Pagans face-to-face; perhaps there's a local Pagan group.

Maybe your needs are not satisfied.

Getting older, requires coping.

Oh, now I remember.  Brittany Serena Mew founded Paganism in 1923 by writing her spiritual fantasies in her school journal that she named the Tao Te Ching.  That work is not of Chinese origin since it mentions the Great Mother and the ancient Chinese did not believe in Her.  That part is only a joke and Paganism has a humorous spirituality, meaning the beliefs will crack you up.  It is a sensitive religion, so be careful when practicing it, for it is the only matriarchal of the world's major religion, that being the 10 World Religions.  Paganism is confidentially the world's largest religion at 1.6 billion and these interfaith websites need to come clean and update their webpages.  Christianity is 1 billion strong and Buddhism is 1.2 billion.  The rest is history.

I noticed that the popes of the last century never condemned  Paganism -- not even Pope John Paul II.  I had a boarding provider in San Antonio, Texas, explain his tolerance on Paganism being its origin in modern Celtic Christianity, and he is Roman Catholic.  I thought I may share this with my fellow Pagans.  Besides, the criticism against Paganism appears to be of Protestant origin probably because of its Catholic.  I will hopefully find another Pagan to speak with.

Blessed be.

I have found some local groups in San Antonio, Texas, at www.sanantoniopagans.us, but the screen was blotched.  It seems that some anti-Pagan hackers are responsible.

Thank you for your support and may Gaia bless you.
Blessed be.

Have you physically met another local Pagan, in person, face-to-face?

I have faced countless Pagans before and my family is Pagan.  We do agree that an Irish Catholic schoolgirl founded Paganism in 1923.  That part was probably inspiredby the "Goddess" sculpture at that time discovered in the Middle East.  It had large breasts and a large belly.  I understand your concern because Paganism is a matriarchial religion and therefore sensitive.  No hard feelings.  Let us pray that I will find another Pagan to speak with.  That happens to be my problem.  I will try my best to be part of the Pagan community.

Blessed be.

When I posted the thread "Freestyle Paganism," I meant that as a joke.  I was told my endeavors were grandiose and narccistic, not megalomanic.  The joke was that if I made up my own religion, then I would be its only follower and therefore the selfless devotee of the New Age movement.

Blessed be.
