It will be a continuing Mormon Moment if Romney is elected. At the very start of the campaign, the polls showed that the only groups people would want less than a Mormon would be Atheists and Muslims. The Mormon candidates persevered and by the time the Republican balloting started, only Romney and Huntsman demonstrated sufficient brain power to be President and Huntsman was thought to be too moderate. Perhaps this Mormon Moment also signifies that the George W. Bush, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin type candidates (while admittedly pliable) were of less presidential timbre than smarter Mormons.
