At an event in Wisconsin, Romney handed out free sandwiches to anyone who wanted them, voter or volunteer. As the folks with the sandwiches were filing past, he reminded them of the importance to go vote. The Democrats in the state are now saying that he was basically trying to bribe these people into voting for him. Is this seriously the best they've got against him if they're having to go to allegations of bribery? Even though they're trying to cite a bit of Wisconsin election law, the fact that some of the people in the mix were volunteers means that it was just free sandwich day. |

Handing out stuff to voters as well as receiving stuff from lobbyists is a tradition with some politicians. There was once a Southern Governor who handed out ax handles as a symbol of his campaign. BTW, were they ham sandwiches?
