I heard that there is an event to commemorate Jesus' death. I was recently invited to one in Sylmar, California at Los Angeles Mission College. Does anyone know of any others in Los Angeles area? This one is too far from me and I won't make it at 7PM. I know I am supposed to contact a local venue, but I do not know of any or how to find them.

Try the phone book, you will find listings under 'Jehovah's Witnesses' most likely under 'churches.' I live far from your area, but we do have phones in the Kingdom Halls. Try mornings around 9-9:30 am especially. I hope you are able to find the Hall in your area, there are likely several.
