At issue I think is the value or otherwise of faith in personality. If we are attached to one person or another person, then we are subject to the object of our devotion getting yanked away.


I am not in favour of personality cult. There was a situation in a Hindu sect, of two gurus sharing the leadership of a sect. Then one got denounced.


All of this points to human politics. And that's not very uplifting!

As a student of the Karma Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism, may I express my faith in the Dalai Lama and the Karmapa, and post a link to the Metta Song by Imee Ooi, which is closer to the Buddha Dharma:

For a practising Buddhist, one ought refrain form becomning involved in squabbles about the Dharma and seek to redress such situations through formal channels of enquiry, which in htis case would be the Official Office of the Karmapa.

The situation with the schism in an 'Hindu Sect' has nothing to do with the Karmapa.
