Are baptised Jehovah's Witnesses allowed to attend the funerals of family members  that are held at other churches, or is this forbidden, or at least discouraged?

And if so why?

If  they  do  attend, it  is  because  their  conscience  allows  for  it.  Since  it  is  a  matter  of  conscience, it  is  their  business.
