Dear brothers and sisters,
What is your advice on how to wrap one's head around the topic in the subject line? How does a young active brother with a loving family who has been raised in the truth end up leaving Jehovah and leading the life of a homosexual? It is something both myself and my husband (who is studying) would like to understand. Are some people born this way due to our imperfections or does something sway someone towards this sort of life style? Or is this just an outright attack from Satan? I am just so saddened to have learnt of this young brother's choices, he used to attend our congregation and about a year ago he and his family suddenly moved away to another territory and new congregation and it was so abrupt and sudden, now I know why. I'm shocked and sad that this young brother could not trust in Jehovah more and really rely on him to get him through the feelings he was experiencing and I will continue to pray for him. Thanks for reading |

I found the January 2012 Awake! interesting, the articles "From Our Readers" as well as "The Bible's Viewpoint" in that issue. I do not know if those will help you or not, but it is a start. One of the letters makes reference to "Young People Ask . . . How Can I Explain the Bible’s View of Homosexuality?" in the December 2010 Awake! Online now at download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/g_... That is all I have right at the moment, but maybe it'll help.
"Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen ... ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I am God." - Isaiah 43:10, 12, ASV.

I made an error in the way in which I worded the response. I highlighted the error in the quote below. What is actually online now is the January 2012 Awake! I don't know if it'll help you with your question but I hope it does.
"Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen ... ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I am God." - Isaiah 43:10, 12, ASV.

Yes, it is hurtful to us when our loved ones, raised in the accurate knowledge of the scriptures, turn their backs on Jehovah's truths and begin to practice the ways of this wicked world. we likely will see an increase of one's who leave and turn to homosexuality. This practice is really sweeping the world. I have it in my own family. My oldest granddaughter who was raised in the Kingdom Hall, turned her back on her beliefs and married another woman. Now she wants to be a mother so she has been AI and is now carrying a child that is my son's grandchild and my great grandchild. The wickedness of this world is very hurtful. with affection from Marken
