Thank you all for your warm thoughts.


Something to think about.


All Souls Miami is exploring the possibility of becoming an 'emerging church' associated with the UUA.  This -- if it happens would make me 'an insider' within the UUA in maybe the only God centered UUA church in Florida.


What do you think?

Well, as a recovering evangelical, I'm a fan of the emerging church and some of the things Brian McLaren is doing in calling evangelicals back to the teachings of Jesus, especially as they relate to social justice and issues that affect our planet. So, imo, that would be wonderful to see All Souls move in that direction.


I'm not an authority on the UUA, but my sense from the local churches here is that they are relunctant to really talk about God or Jesus openly. Perhaps it is just these two churches. But if the UUA, like the UUCF, could be open to the teachings of Jesus without all of the doctrinal and creedal baggage that has been placed on him over the centuries, I think it would only benefit their organization.

Well, if All Souls does affiliate, possibly that will be an indication that the UUA is becoming more open to spiritual diversity rather than merely giving it lip service as a denomination.

Do keep us posted on what transpires.

Plan to be at All Souls Miami for Sunday services at 11 A.M. An important vote will take place -- All Souls Miami will vote on becoming an Emerging Church Affiliated with the UUA.

All Souls will be meeting at the:
DAVE AND MARY ALPER JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER ON THE JAY MORTON-LEVINTHAL CAMPUS
11155 SW 112th Avenue
Miami, Florida 33176.

Join us there if you are in the area and interested in being part of a God-Centered Unitarian Church.

All Souls Miami voted to be a emerging congregation with the UUA.

All Souls Miami -- Sunday Service will start at 1030 am with a latin exercise class.  A live band will be playing the music for the worship service.

Do you see this as a new trend happening in the UUA? 


it would be nice to hear the word God in a UUA associated Church
