Now I have no reason to believe that their experiences aren't genuine and give them their version of the truth, but they aren't mine, and equally, they give me no reason why I should trust a book over my own experiences.


I have never found a good reason to trust someone else's UPG over my own.

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

As self-deception is a well-known human trait, no "unverified" experience ought be trusted, one's own or anyone else's.
