Just wondering how many people read R. Nachman's poems/prayers (as opposed to his short stories).

Somehow - logical Maimonidean as I tend to be - I find R. Nachman's prayers and poems very meaningful to me.

A Haven of Joy

Teach me the meaning of Joy;

Dear God --

strong

deep

genuine

and pure joy.

Don't let me succumb

To feelings of sadness,

Loneliness and depression.

Teach me to turn to You

with my every problem,

frustration,

anxiety and pain.

Accept my broken heart.

Heal me,

And shelter me

In a haven of joy.
