Iranian cleric: Women who wear revealing clothing cause earthquakes A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes. 'Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes,' Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media. Read this article and you'll see Ahmadinejad himself is even making earthquake predictions.
![]() 1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Co 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. |

Women lead young men astray? What a load of crap. Any man that claims a woman can lead him astray is in denial of his own weakness. Such a cowardly thing to say from an Iranian cleric, blaming women is COWARDLY. A bunch of wimps that are afraid to confront their own weakness and project it onto women. Does it get anymore pathetic than this? ____________________________________________________________________ |

Just checked the website for seismic activity in my area. Thirteen quakes within the past hour. Guess that’s a whole lotta adultery going on. Now, should he convince all women in an area to cover, and the seismographs still pick up quake activity in said region, what shall we attribute this to? Does he know just how idiotic he sounds when making such statements? Why is it adultery is never the fault of the man participating - just the woman? (hmm, perhaps there's something he's not telling us? ) Irene. |

I'd like to see Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi's degree in geology. The clerics of all faiths would do well to shut up about things they don't understand. That wouldn't leave them much to talk about, but silence is golden. |

While I'd probably like to think that the mere sight of me in shorts could cause the earth to move under a certain man's feet, it seems a tad unlikely. :)

Women are blamed because they have vaginas. Just the thought of a va-jay-jay sends some men over the edge. |
