Did Sister White interpret Ezekiel 9 as a prophecy of a coming judgment on the Seventh-day Adventist hierarchy? See the chapter titled The Seal of God in Testimonies For the Church, Vol. 5. pp. 207-216.

NO!! The last paragraph of that section sums up the recipients and the course to take.

Testimonies for the Church Volume Five (1882-1889), page 216, paragraph 2

Chapter Title: The Seal of God

Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God--candidates for heaven. Go forward, my brethren and sisters. I can only write briefly upon these points at this time, merely calling your attention to the necessity of preparation. Search the Scriptures for yourselves, that you may understand the fearful solemnity of the present hour."<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Eugene is "FOUND WANTING AGAIN"!!!  The "Sealing" is still an on-going process and isn't just  """"as a prophecy of a coming judgment on the Seventh-day Adventist hierarchy?"""" according to the mis-application of comments and accusations from Eugene's erroneous conclusions.

The given link to Sister White's stunning exposition has this paragraph:

Here we see that the church—the Lord's sanctuary—was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus "Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together. {5T 211.2}

Eugene,

Testimonies for the Church Volume Five (1882-1889), page 208, paragraph 3

Chapter Title: The Seal of God

The prophet, looking down the ages, had this time presented before his vision. The nations of this age have been the recipients of unprecedented mercies. The choicest of heaven's blessings have been given them, but increased pride, covetousness, idolatry, contempt of God, and base ingratitude are written (p.209) against them. They are fast closing up their account with God.

(Eugene, Hasn't the "Everlasting Gospel"  been preached unto all the world? "Great light has been going unto all the world and men are rejecting it---more that those accepting it. Those accepting the TRUTH of the Gospel are the ones "Sealed". "Professed believers" of the "Ministers and congregation alike" will not be "Sealed".  It behooves the "Faithful" to address any outside the security of the "Church" or those who have strayed from within the "Church" to seek repentance and obedience to the TRUTH of God's word.

When Jesus Christ leaves the heavenly sanctuary on HIS return for the redeemed, it will be to late for Repentance. No one can force another into a church "relationship" nor out of one.

That is why EGW wrote on that last page ". Go forward, my brethren and sisters. I can only write briefly upon these points at this time, merely calling your attention to the necessity of preparation. Search the Scriptures for yourselves, that you may understand the fearful solemnity of the present hour."

Scripturally, every individual is the guardian of their own life. Each receives the light and is accountable for it.

Yes, When the Slaying Angel comes ALL who aren't "Sealed" inside or outside the "sanctuary will be slain by the brightness of HIS Coming.

Your vendetta against the SDA Church is falsely based and this piece testifies against you.

Obviously, if the guardians of the spiritual interests of the people means every member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, then all Seventh-day Adventists, according to Sister White, will suffer the just vengeance of an offended God.

Would anyone like to propose a more believable Seventh-day Adventist interpretation?

The word guardian in Scripture is never used to mean that someone is his own guardian. Rather, a guardian is a synonym for the word overseer and is always used to mean a guardian or overseer of someone else.

1 Peter 5:1-2
The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed:  Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;

Acts 20:28
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Numbers 11:12
Did I conceive all these people? Did I beget them, that You should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a guardian carries a nursing child,’ to the land which You swore to their fathers?

1 Samuel 28:2
So David said to Achish, “Surely you know what your servant can do.” And Achish said to David, “Therefore I will make you one of my chief guardians forever.”

Acts 19:35
And when the city clerk had quieted the crowd, he said: “Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple guardian of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?

Galatians 4:2
but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Also, please consider Sister White's immediate context in the Seal of God:

No superiority of rank, dignity, or worldly wisdom, no position in sacred office, will preserve men from sacrificing principle when left to their own deceitful hearts. Those who have been regarded as worthy and righteous prove to be ring-leaders in apostasy and examples in indifference and in the abuse of God's mercies. Their wicked course He will tolerate no longer, and in His wrath He deals with them without mercy. {5T 212.1}

And consider Sister White's theology also:

Living faith will prompt to energetic action. The spirit manifested by the leader will be, to a great extent, reflected by the people. If the leaders professing to believe the solemn, important truths that are to test the world at this time, manifest no ardent zeal to prepare a people to stand in the day of God, we must expect the church to be careless, indolent, and pleasure-loving. 3BC 1137.

It is the coldness of heart, the unbelief of those who ought to have faith, that keeps the churches in feebleness. GW 304.

Many of the wicked were greatly enraged as they suffered the effects of the plagues. It was a scene of fearful agony. Parents were bitterly reproaching their children, and children their parents, brothers their sisters, and sisters their brothers. Loud, wailing cries were heard in every direction, "It was you who kept me from receiving the truth which would have saved me from this awful hour." The people turned upon their ministers with bitter hate and reproached them, saying, "You have not warned us. You told us that all the world was to be converted, and cried, Peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour; and those who warned us of it you declared to be fanatics and evil men, who would ruin us." But I saw that the ministers did not escape the wrath of God. Their suffering was tenfold greater than that of their people. {EW 282.1}

Eugene, notice the red above. It was the false shepherds of the flock who were failing to sound the alarm which the light had been given to correct.  those who listened to them will suffer the vengeance as a result of not being "sealed".  The correct guiding word had been given an understood. You do err in your interpretation. The "guardians of the truths" were the "Prophets" who(in this case) falsely prophesied.-------NOT the Individuals.

However, as Ezek,14:14+ states,  It isn't anyone(Daniel, Job, or Noah) who will save a person, that is an individual matter. Jesus said "Search the Scriptures"; The Bereans, "searched the Scriptures"; Paul wrote to Timothy, "Study to shew thyself approved"; Paul wrote, "be persuaded in your own mind"; and Paul said, "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Your conclusions and manipulations are false------therefore, the Articles you have produced from their "fruit" is false.

See previous post for Guardian of one's own salvation. The guardianship of the instructions given for the right relationship to God and Fellow Being was given to the Prophets and proclaimed/recorded by them. (Isa,8:20)
