I'm looking for experience and opinions from anyone who has tried binaural beats or brainwave entrainment music.  Has anyone here tried out anything like this?  I am looking at getting into it myself as from what I understand, binaural beats can be a great help with meditation and other such things.  There seems to be a lot of stuff about Hemi-Syncand Holo-Sync on the Internet, unfortunatly Holo-Sync is far too expensive for my tastes though I hear it is meant to be very good.

Hemi-Sync look like they have a good range of semi 'New Age' music and other meditative stuff, though it's difficult to tell as I can't locate any samples of their music.

So to anyone who has experience with brainwave entrainment, is it really as good as it is cracked up to be?
