Wow..I haven't been here for a long time and it is suddenly so different!  Its always hard to get used to a new format when you haven't been here....:0)

I see familiar names still...and just wanted to say "hi"!  I've been thru a lot lately...and thought maybe coming back here to 'hang out' with other witnesses may be a good break.

(Oh, and kamejaje..nice to see you here!  I hadn't seen you here for a long time....)

I'm glad you've popped in to say hi, I know what you mean about it being just the thing you may need. It can be very encouraging and upbuilding just being in the same presence as other brothers and sisters so I hope we can make you feel better.

Please email me whenever you like if you need to get things off your chest I would love to hear from you again soon.

Hi Kam,

I did appreciate your email that you sent.  I get so busy that it is hard for me to sit down and write.  Also we only have one computer in our home and many users!  But I will check in soon to let you know whats going on.  I saw your post with the video...I am soooo happy to see the words 'my husband's Bible study'!!!!  It must make you so happy that he is still studying and as you said before, that he is enjoying it...:0)

Sincerely,

julianna

Julianna tell me about it, sometimes I feel like pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming haha, I never thought I'd ever say the words my husband and bible study in the same sentence that's for sure! He has his off days though where he says he still can't get his head around believing a certain part of our faith, I keep telling him to just focus on his studies and he will learn more and more each week and it will help clear things up for him aswell as me witnessing to him as much as I can!

Don't rush with your emails it's fine I completely understand, we also have 1 computer and many users lol

Take care Julianna, talk to you again soon xx

What area does he have concerns about?

Hi anotherpaul,

I find he starts to doubt things particularly when he's missed a couple of studies due to either the brother not being able to make it or my husband having to postpone it due to something coming up, such things arise like God's very existance, he says he still hasn't had many of his questions answered and is still unsure of why God permits all of this suffering, if I point him towards Satan he says he doesn't believe there is a Satan. He hasn't reached that chapter in the Bible teach book yet either, he is up to "Are we living in the last Days?" and will begin it this Saturday coming. He recently learnt about the timeline that begins at 607BCE and the "appointed times" that take us to 1914CE, he found that very confusing and has asked to go over it again. I must admit even I find it confusing!

I just try to keep him encouraged that it will all come up soon and if he has questions and doubts not to hesitate bringing those up with his study conductor. I'm sure it will take someone like him time for it to all make sense but also he has to keep a regular study aswell, he was only having one once a fortnight before and things would come up and make it sometimes once every 3-4 weeks and it wasn't nourishing him spiritually enough which he himself noticed so he changed it to weekly, hopefully this helps.

He still enjoys his studies and looks forward to them but I guess Satan has a hold of him aswell seeing that he's enjoying learning about the truth too.

A.P. I always use the example of a doctor or surgeon. A person who has either injured his by by his own acts, such as drug use or been injured by another, needs surgery. OK, but first they have to be able to live through it, to do so he needs to be physically be built up, make choices on what surgery, what additional doctorsor specialists he needs/wants, etc. ALL that takes time and is NOT the doctor's fault. He wants to fix it but must wait until the patient is ready, the team is assembled, etc. That is what jehovah is doing. WE all have either chosen to do tjhings that are wrong or been wronged by someone. Jehovah is preparing us, the earth and the "team" for the operation. It ain't fun to wait but it is necessary for survival.

A.P. That is a hard one and not really necessarty until he progresses a bit further. Kinda like Jesus saying "I have things to tell you but you aren't ready yet". If the greatest teacher waited to teach somethings, it seems reasonable that we will.
