But, who says ANYONE, Mormon, Baptist, Pentecostal, or Evangelical has the monopoly on Christianity.  I think Jesus gives to everyone an "A" for effort when it come to doing the best they can at building a strong personal relationship with him.

So long as you believe that Jesus Christ was who he said he was and did what was said that he did, and work for that personal relationship with him, what else matters? 

You can do as much or as little "works" however you define them, as you want.  The works aren't hurting you or anyone else, as so long as you are soing them with a genuineness of heart, I say keep it up! 

I believe Grace is also a personal thing.  There are people who have less struggles in life, or perhaps have mastered the art of getting past those struggles, but then there are those who wander in darkness and stumble around, I think Jesus has enough love, mercy and grace, that in the end to make even the last equal to the first.
