I can only guess how the parents might judge this- but this is my best guess. Be confident, firm handshake, good eye contact, propose a definate plan of how you can take care of the responsibility of a wife and children, financially and emotionally.
In other words- be a man not a boy. Appear as a man, not a boy.
That means you need the plan. How will you provide? What type of life will your wife have? How will you treat her?
