I don't know if there is an exact Christian definition of God, so here is my opinion....
We both believe in God as omnipotent, omnipotent, and omniscient. We both believe in one God. When I was a kid I had a friend who died of cancer. When I asked the Minister why a good person would die, and my neighbor who was a jerk was alive, he said "God is not in control down here". To which I said "Wait, you're talking about God". Made no sense to me. I had to find a different set of beliefs after that. So perhaps the only difference is that God is loving and even the negative force ("Devil" in Christinaity, and called "Kal" in Eckankar) is a servant of God to train Soul. This earth is a training ground for Soul, and while we may not see Gods plan, it all is on order. God is in control. |

The other belief sof Eckankar (again my opinion) is that:
1) God is loving, even in the life lessons which are hard. (no angry God or punishment, just lessons) 2) God doesn't speak in human words, but through the Light and Sound of God within, which anyone can experience directly, no matter what your faith. |
