[FASTING AN OPTION]

I believe you when you say you read an NOI website which reads, "FASTING IS AN OPTION,"however I read in Messenger Elijah Muhammad's Book, Message to the Blackman in America, page 82 where he said, "...the principles of belief in Islam are:  One God, His Prophets, His Scriptures, His Judgement, His Resurrection (of the mentally dead)."  And that, "The main prinicples of action in Islam:  keeping up prayer, spending in the cause of truth, FASTING especially during the month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Mecca, speaking the truth regardless to whom or what, being clean internally, loving your brother believers as yourself, doing good to all, killing no one whom  ALLAH has ordered not to be killed, setting at liberty the captured believer, worshiping no god but ALLAH, and fearing no one but ALLAH."  I try not to read or listen to anyone concerning Messenger Muhammad's teachings unless they can give me reference to where he has said what they say he said.

I do not know when Maulana Muhammad Ali's version of the Holy Qur'an became available to you but I have had his version since the early 1960's.  His version is what I have always read.

Nor do we of The NOI.  Messenger Muhammad taught us that there is only One Creator, ALLAH, who created the heavens and the earth.  He said that THE SPIRIT has been here all along.  He taught that history is made every 25,000 years, that, "When such history is written, it is done by twenty-four of our scientists [Imams].  One acts as Judge or God for the others and twenty-three actually do the work of getting up the future of the nation, and all is put into one book and at intervals where such and such part or portion will come to pass, that people will be given that part of the book through one among that people from one of the Twelve Major Scientists) as it is then called a Scripture which actually means script..."  He said further that, "There is a significance to the number 24 Scientists and the 25,000 years.  ...twenty-four Scientists...is in accordance with the hours in our day and the measurement of the circumference of our planet around the Equator and in the region of our Poles, Arctic and Antarctic Ocean...Our planet is not exactly 25,000 miles in circumference, it is 24,896 and we...don't a full 24 hour day but near that -- 23 hours, 56 minutes, 46 seconds.  The change made in our planets rotation at the Poles is about one minute a year and takes 25,000 years to bring about a complete change in the region of the Poles.  The actual Poles are inclined 23 1/2 degrees to the plane of the orbit.  The Original Black Nation used 23 Scientists to write the future of that nation for the next 25,000 years, and the 24th is the Judge or the One God."

I pray 5 times daily, at least, some times 8 times.  Our "process" is as follows:  "The lost-found joins the righteous in prayer for the first time upon their finding by ALLAH.  We see him turning to ALLAH to recite the prayer of the righteous...washing his hands and all exposed parts of his body...washing his face...eyes...ears...mouth...nose and even those wet hands go over his head...prayer service is divided into two parts, one to be said in private and the other to be performed in congregation, preferably in a Mosque.

No we do not believe The Spirit of The Creator of heaven and earth inhabited anyones' body.  We believe as I have written above concerning the 24 Scientists [Imams].

Malcom X left The NOI after being thrown out of The Nation of Islam for disobeying a direct order from Messenger Muhammad concerning the assassination of President J. F. Kennedy.  Our messenger sent word to every Temple across America ordering us, "Say nothing about the death of our President."  It was even printed in his Muhammad Speaks Newspaper.  However when the press microphones were shoved into the face of Malcom to comment on the assassination, his reply was, "The chickens have come home to roost."  Messenger Muhammad did to Malcom what he would have done to any of us who disobeyed his order, he gave Malcom 90 days out of The Nation of Islam.  It was then when Malcom decided that The Nation of Islam was no longer his belief, and he rose up against our messenger.

Our messenger taught that Adam and Eve were 59,999 Black men and women, with Yacub making it 60,000!  We do not believe Yacub "created" the white man.  We blieve ALLAH IS THE ONLY "CREATOR", and that man "makes" from HIS CREATION!  We believe ALLAH allowed the birth of one (Iblis/Yacub) who used the 59,999 Black men and women to "make" a new people who would bring about mischief-making and bloodshed!  (Holy Qur'an 2:30)  It is known that the "created" man must be able to bring about all ethnic colors (Black, Brown, Red, Yellow and White).  ALLAH "created" one and from that one all other ethnic colors arose.  That is, unless you believe ALLAH "created" all men in one swoop!  However, which ever color is the Original, "created" man, his nature is closer to that of ALLAH, because he is "created" directly FROM ALLAH.  Iblis's offspring is of his nature (mischief-making and causing bloodshed), yet his respite is just about up.  BlackMan & Woman can give birth to children of various colors, white man and woman give birth to pale pink white children only, unless they have a partner of color.  People of different colors, excepting the "created" people, came by way of birth control (grafting).  The 59,999 were used to bring forth the "made" man by mating with light skin couples, who once they bring forth children, those children mate with someone of lighter skin...and so on, and so forth, until, they had grafted from the "created" to the last stage.  This took 600 years to complete.  As for "all the prophets being White?"  ALLAH always raises up one from among those who HE has chosen, to lead them on the right path to HIMSELF.  He always chooses one that speaks the same language, one from among those chosen to be resurrected so that the people will have no plea, saying, "He is a foreigner, I couldn't understand him!"  My guess is that there were more white prophets because that they were worst behaved and in more need of ALLAH'S Guidance then other Nations.  Isaac, son of Abraham and Sarah, was a prophet and Black!

Brother I thank you for responding with intelligent refutes, but we are not asking for you to accept The Nation of Islam.  It is the same today as it always has been since the days of Noah, to Prophet Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, even to Jesus, the people all say the same words, "We never heard this before from our Fathers, we feel you are in error."  Yes, brother we both possess the same right to defend, in Truth!  Time tells all Truths!
