I was drawn to Shinto due to it finding nature to be sacred.

As for books I would not be sure what recommend. There are a few out there on Amazon.com, try looking there.

A simple calling, I suppose. I also found it quite rational that there should be spiritual manifestations of a great truth, if there was one. Actually, because of the environment in which I was raised as a child and teenager and even going into my adult life, the whole duality of people and nature thing, the sacred in nature was actually my biggest problem with the Shinto religion... but I've long since come to my senses. There is no duality.

I woudl say I converted to SHinto becuase I find nature-worship to be very spiritual and you don't have to actually questions whether not a God exists- your proof is all around you, you just need an eye for beauty to see it. Plus, i don't think Shinto in any way denounces any scientific proofs- I beleive science looks at the physical side of nature, while Shinto focuses on the spirtual side of it. PLus I always loved Japanese culture.
