I usually take a deep breath, stop what I'm doing and thinking and tell myself that the kingdom of God is in you and all around you. this helps center me and I can continue with my activity with full concentration.

HI everyone, Practicing the Presence of God keeps me out of my own head. And for me that is crucial, lol!!
For quite a while now, I've noticed that I'm not able to settle on a simple way to do this. There are so many incredible thoughts I've read and heard about, I just can't find what works to really center me. But, one truth I am able to remember and get something from, is, Only good can come to me, and only Good can go out from me. Or Divine Mind is working out all the details of my life right now. (I think that's a blend of E. Holmes, and C. Ponder) I just found this one: THE ONE MIND IS MY COMPLETE REFUGE AND STRENGTH. (SOM pg. 532.) Now, that's NICE!! But, I change like the wind, and I get confused about what I want to focus on. I've never seen so many phenomenal ways of practicing the presence as I read in Living the SOM, and the SOM textbook. Then I add the rest from other authors, and my cup runneth over. I've just started to read alittle of Emmett Fox and Emma Curtis Hopkins. It'll come to me..and the static on my inner - radio tuner will calm down, in time. Wonderful topic, phylizz..dee |
