I feel so alone. Am I the only Satanist who espouses Theistic ideals? Anyone? I'm thinking of being atheistic, because I know absolutely no Theistic Satanists. Do you think Theistic Satanism will grow in the future, or die? Why are Theistic Satanists such a minority in the Satanist scene?

hello Diane, and Dogma, I am a theistic Satanist. I beleive in and worship Satan and his demons, and am pagan worshipping the Gods as well. Glad to meet you. Don't feel so alone, you guys have me atleast.

I would like to know the name and creditentials of your staff Middle Eastern Professor.

I have been researching Theistic Satanism for years at this point, and I have not found a single accredited scholar nor even an amateur who speaks Sumarian, Assyrian, or any other ancient language.

I also find that most of the connections made between specific deities are non-existant.  Quetzocatl had nothing to do with Satan, neither did Thoth, Set, Loki, Pan, Angra Mainyu, etc.  Also, the only evidence for historical Theistic Satanism comes from Christian sources claiming witches actively worshipped Satan, this has been largely debunked as these women were tortured into confessing this.  Therefore the only historical evidence of Theistic Satanism is Christian propaganda.

I suppose the historical worship of non-Satanic deities has to come into play at some point to give an aura of credibility to the movement.  I have done years of research on this, and only use peer reviewed material for my research, and Loki was never a worshipped deity, Pan/Fauna wasn't considered a Satanic entity by the Greeks until they became Christians, and Lucifer was a masculine name for Venus and had very little power outside of Venus' attributes and wasn't anything like the Satanic version he has been cast since Christianization.

There were Zoroastrians who worshipped Angra Mainyu, however those people were closer to Christian Gnostics or Tantricas than Satanist.

The word and concept of Satan comes directly from Semitic traditions; ha-Satan in the Hebrew which means the accuser, and ash-Shaytan in the Arabic which means the adversary.  Conceptually and linguistically, these are the origins for Satan.  Lucifer was a much later Latin attachment, and never once mentioned in the bible as an actualy entity, only mentioned as the Morning Star (Venus) in the Latin Vulgate which came to be the source for later translations; notably the King James Bible.

Otherwise, there is no historical proof of Satan worship in the Lavant, Mediterranian Europe or Africa, or in the Middle East.

There is no God, there is no Devil, there is only consciousness on an infinite scale...you are exploring.  It is a life-long occupation this exploration and learning process, and it does not stop at death.

Many people dislike what religion has done on this planet, and still does.  There are individuals within religions that are trying to change their religions from within, and that is a good thing.  If you want to see change, become a conduit for truth without getting hurt in your will to freedom.  Become as educated as you can, learn how to use your mind, it will never fail you.

So, Christine, are you proselytizing atheism on the Satanism board?
Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

Hi SacrificialGoddess,

This is the first time we've talked.  I didn't have that in mind at the time.  I was a psychology major and see everything as consciousness.  So, any anthropomorphic ideas, I see it as a perception in consciousness.  I suppose it looks like atheism on the surface, but wasn't intended that way.
