This commandment is what we are all about as Christians.  This is the
will of God.

Mark 12:28-31
And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together,
and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the
first commandment of all?

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O
Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is
the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Matthew 6:15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.

But... not all gnostics are Christians.
Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

Certainly, if the Commandment is to love others with all your strength, mind and soul, then not for giving others is grieving the Spirit, Shekinah.  Also if you do not forgive others, you will not be forgiven.  The insidious effect of not forgiving is that we carry the emotions of sadness, mistrust and anger.

It is difficult to rid ones self of those emotions – the feelings, the physical reactions and behaviors.  But with a lot of prayer, meditation, love, and assistance of the Holy Spirit, we can purge those regretful emotions.
Shekinah blessings.

Since we are all one, to not forgive another is to not forgive yourself.

I believe that you are totally correct!  Releasing the misdeeds of the ego and realizing that we have been freed of the clutches...
