There's a show right now on the History Channel about Hell being a place of torment and as Satan's Domain.
As I'm watching it, I can't believe just how blind people are about the simple truth that is found in the Bible. They have these scholars, and religious leaders promulgating all sorts of things about what hell is, who goes there, what happens there and I'm just thinking to myself, 'If they'd only just read the Bible and reason upon it!' During this program they also talked about how Satan is involved in all of this. They interviewed some people from the "Church of Satan," and I was surprised to find out that what they believe is in direct contradiction with what the Bible teaches. Now, I know that might sound silly, one would think, of course they do! I was surprised because it sounded like our beliefs only backwards. Let me explain: They noted that Satan means Adversary and Opposer. And they said they strive to do this. To oppose God. They also spoke about the importance of living up our imperfections as humans: lying, taking revenge, lusting after people. They spoke of Satan as being the precedence that we must take to be independent and to do what ever we want regardless of other people. To indulge in our own desires, etc., etc. What really shocked me was how they spoke about doing wrong to other people who wrong you. Remember the study article a few weeks ago about not taking revenge into our own hands lest we presume to know more than Jehovah? Hearing those people glorify such actions made me really appreciate the Biblical counsel we receive at the meetings. You know, taking revenge might seem like a mundane thing people do, but we must remember that it is Satan who promotes that way of thinking! The Bible truly is correct when it says that the people of this world are being blinded. I just thought I'd share that, cause I'm dazed right now, and have found a new meaning to appreciating Jehovah's Word the Bible. I thank Jehovah that I've found the truth and that I'm privileged enough to bring the Good News to other people. --Daniel |

Those were good thoughts, Daniel.
Never understood the whole idea of Satan is God's enemy.. but God gives him hell to rule over. Strange. |

Hi Daniel,
Yes, I may have seen that same show you are describing. I know that I saw one at least similar and was shaking my head in awe. Yes, I also noticed what you did about the direct opposites in the "Chruch of Satan". Sadly amazing. julianna |
