Although Brumalia is not well attested in antiquity, repeated condemnations and anathemas of the Byzantine Church attest to the popularity of the festival by later periods.
After years as a Neopagan ranting against the seasonal madness, this year I'm looking forward to joining in the festivities with my own Hellenic slant. This is a festival both Hellenes and Romans can celebrate. http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Thread/1005104 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brumalia http://www.cs.utk.edu/~Mclennan/BA/Saturnalia.html |

Thank you for posting the links - hope it's as exciting for you as you're hoping. Love to hear anything you're willing to share about it.
Proper salutation for the celebration? I see "Bona Saturnalia" for the Roman.. nothing for the Greek though. |
