#16. The Ostlings get into the Tanner's little game about how Abraham told Sarah to lie in Genesis 12 yet Abraham 12 had God commanding them to lie.
Like the Tanners, they fail to realize that Genesis 20 explains the whole matter: Sarah was Abraham's half-sister, and so even though they are married he can still legitimately refer to her as his sister. |

#17. There needs to be a disclaimer in regards to the King Follett Discourse not being canon.

#18. On page 323, the Ostlings imply that the addition of "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" to the Book of Mormon's title was due to the 1998 Southern Baptist conference going on up in Utah.

19. On page 334, the Ostlings mangle a quote from Gospel Principles in a Tanner-like fashion.

#20. On page 337, the Ostlings mention Blood Atonement and briefly disclaim that it never officially took place; they fail to mention that Brigham Young added a qualifier to the doctrine, stating that it could only be practiced in a theocracy.

I'm only about 50 or 60 pages away from finishing; upon completion, I intend to send my errata list onto the Ostlings (or at least their publisher).
Anything that anyone wants me to add? |

Page 387 contains a grammar mistake; although it's minor, it bugs me to see one make it into the final version of what is supposed to be a scholarly text. |

#22. On page 389, they have Boyd K. Packer being next in line behind Monson for the position of President of the church.
This is incorrect, as Packer was actually fourth in the line of succession at the time the book went to print. Faust was Second Counselor from 1995 (before the first volume was published) until his death last year, after which Henry B. Eyring got the call. |

#23. Starting on page 396, they use ellipses when copying the King Follett Discourse; for the sake of clarity and honesty, the full Discourse should have been given.
