A while ago back on a Dutch forum that is no longer in existance, I was involved in a discusion about what defines seidh. We never really got a clear answer to that question, and our ideas ranged anywhere from fairytale witchcraft to shamanistic journying and everything inbetween. So, as I would still like to come up with a nice definition of seidh, what is yours?

There are varied responses to what seidr means but I like Jordvin's view on the topic. I attended one of his sessions a few years back and was awed by the power of it. Others may have differing views.

If I had to define Seidr.

Then I'd define it as a mixture of trancework, sorcery, necromancy and prophesy.

That's the short version of what I wrote earlier. LOL!

Take care. :)
I like what Drknss said.

Scratch the "seething" thing I said. I must've been picking that up in the air waves.

I read that the word "seething" doesn't apply.

Bron
You probably picked it up from someone who's read Jan Fries "Seidways". He/She? says that Seidr means Seething.

It's been disputed but from my understanding. No one can completely rule the connection out. Though I think Thorsson tried or did.

Anyways. Take care. :)

HTML isn't working. You have to use this "vB Code" I think it is. For links type {url=(web address)}What you want link to say{/url}

Just replace "{}" with "[ ]"
