We now have the following Bibles in our online library:

wol.jw.org/en/wol/lv/r1/lp-e/0/0

Including our Greek-English "Kingdom Interlinear" -

wol.jw.org/en/wol/lv/r1/lp-e/0/125

For example this verse showing from the Greek that two definite articles specify that Jesus is not only God's son, but specifically the Son of the love of God:

wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101985075#h...

ὃς Who ἐρύσατο drew out to self ἡμᾶς us ἐκ out of τῆς the ἐξουσίας authority τοῦ of the σκότους darkness καὶ and μετέστησεν transferred εἰς into τὴν the βασιλείαν kingdom τοῦ of the υἱοῦ Son τῆς of the ἀγάπης love αὐτοῦ, of him,

If you click on the verse, you will be given 5 other translations, including KJV and 2 NW's.

And there is still another Bible - and audio Bible - that is being released gradually - all free of charge of course:

www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/study-b...

Which includes this introduction including a video on Matthew:

www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/study-b...

I hope you all enjoy these Bible translations!

Yes, and this will probably prove to be a good thing.  Now, anyone will be able to compare the NWT with the original languages in the Interlinear and see the hundreds of different words that were arbitrarily altered from the original or inserted into the English NWT in an effort to make it appear that many of the things the Society teaches are actually found in God's Word, when, in fact, they aren't!

Why is THIS here?  Should we come to your website and attach, let's say, the Catholic Bible?

We have the Catholic approved Bible already on the JW.org site too. It's a really good translation.

As a student of God's Word, shouldn't we all be ready to explore other Bible translations? I don't there is a translation I have read and not learned something from.

Only if they are true spirit-led translations, accurate and literal into modern English from the most reliable Hebrew and Greek text, unaltered by pre-conceived  theologies...such as denying the Deity of Jesus the Divine Messaiah.

Yes, yes, of course. They MUST be Spirit-led. Is the JW translation not?

Should we have some kind of test to determine whether a translation is Spirit-led? Would the JWs fail such a test?

1. Extremists think that thinking means agreeing with them.
2. There are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth.
3. God is the original nothingness of the universe.

As is the case with your own preferred translation ... yes?

Surely ALL of them suffer from that same error.

MM..Q: Should we have some kind of test to determine whether a translation is Spirit-led?

A: We do. All versions of the Bible have extensive history. Check out the contrbuting scholars and their resource material

Q:Would the JWs fail such a test?

Why is it a good translation?  Here's the thing, those led by THE SPIRIT can read anything and can both...discern THE TRUTH of, or the lack of TRUTH in all things that are read.

Not because, they have a superior spirit...but because it is THE SPIRIT who leads us to all TRUTH...

Yes. Yes. OF COURSE!
No one can know the hidden things of GOD but the SPIRIT OF GOD...and it THE SPIRIT of GOD (within the believer) that seeks the HIDDEN THINGS OF GOD (which are only known by HIS SPIRIT)...and it is THE SPIRIT OF GOD (within the believer) that reveals the HIDDEN THINGS OF GOD (which are only known by HIS SPIRIT).

For who can know the mind of THE LORD to instruct HIM?  But we have the mind of CHRIST...and it is only through CHRIST that we have access to THE FATHER by THAT ONE SPIRIT.
