This is a --- “take off” of a wonderful song that was written by Lee Greenwood. The title of his song is God Bless America. I have changed it to --- May Our Creator Bless The Human Race. I hope that you like it. Author's note: As a result of leaving out a few words, I have had to activate the edit button on June 19/2012. MAY OUR CREATOR BLESS THE HUMAN RACE If tomorrow all the things were gone that I’d worked for all my life. I’d thank my lucky stars to be alive today because some of us have freedom and we won’t let them take that away. And there's pride in every human heart and it's time to stand up and say: I’m proud to be a "free" member of the human race today. And I won’t forget the men and women who died to give that right to me and I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend that freedom today. Because there isn’t any doubt I love this planet. May our Creator bless the human race. From the peaks of the Himalayas to the valleys far away. From London to Calcutta and Iceland to The Seine. From the Mediterranean Islands to the shores of Frisco Bay. It’s long past the time for us to stand up and say: I’m proud to be a “free” member of the human race today. And I won’t forget the men and women who died to give that right to me and I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend that freedom today. Because there isn’t any doubt I love this planet. May our Creator bless the human race. _____________________________________ Critique, constructive or otherwise, of the above "song", in particular the message contained therein, is more than welcome.
We have nothing to fear except our lack of understanding of fear itself.
