dave I don't think and also after that implies they still exist - only that they continued to exist after the period being refered to. If taken literally, it can be read as saying that nephilim genetic material was mixed with human, hence may still be. I think MMarcoe's hypothesis makes most sense - that they were a human tribe of sturdy foreigners who faded into legend. |
