True. The odds of something happening are always 100% after it's happened.

The odds for life forming anywhere in our Universe are far greater than a creator god existing. We exist, gods do not. That's where you'll find the answer to your question.

It might also help if you were to take a few classes on biology. It makes for a far better conversation if you know what you're talking about. Your question shows you don't know much about biology or science in general.

"What are the odds of life forming on Earth?"

Much greater than some Bnet posters filling out their profiles.

"Does anyone have the scientific equation for that?"

Amcolph gave it to you.

It's here so that will make the odds 100%.

The odds of life evolving here on Earth is 100% greater than any creationist understanding the science behind evolution.

Ah the argument from probability, better known as "How can I show I have no clue what probability means."

RoeDoe1111 post your answers to the following to show you have some understanding of probability.

Simple elementary school level probability question paraphrased from my son's grade 5 math class:

A coin flip can land heads or tails, what is the probability of it landing heads?
The first flip landed heads, what is the probability of the next flip landing tails?
Is it possible for the coin to NEVER come up tails?

If you can answer correctly, I'll be happy to discuss the odds of life on earth with you.

What is the probability that something as inane and asinine and barbaric as christianity might be true?

I'm going to say 0 per cent.

Do you any scientific evidence to the contrary?

Why not show some intellectual integrity and ANSWER the points raised?

Or are you just a gutless, cowardly, ignorant, blind, and gullible believer in whatever mythological tale appeals to you?

Just asking.

Feel free to respond.

Oh and BTW, there is NO equation such as your question suggests. And there CANNOT be. We would  have to first observe many different environments and determine how often life occurs in them before we could provide any 'Odds" at all. Statistics measures what actually does happen. And ONE data point (the planet Earth) does not a valid statistical sample make.

The belief in supernatural religion will kill us all if we don't outgrow it.

When I first read "End of Faith" I thought Sam went too far. The more I read and listen to these "believers" the more I wonder if maybe he wasn't right after all.
