You speak of "evolution". Of course it is only a hypothesis. It is perfectly plausible to prefer the Matthean priority (which, BTW, does away with the need for the purely conjectural Q source ... [#]).


Mark, under the Matthean priority, would be a "reduced version" of Matthew.
