Does the punishment for Moses touching the rock twice instead of once seem not to fit the "crime" at all?

There are some of us who may take this as being more allegorical rather than an actual historical account. Personally, I have a significant number of "issues" with both the Passover account, if taken literally, as well as some other accounts. OTOH, you will find some of us that may take it more as history, and maybe one of those with that perspective will throw in their two cents. |

Hi ffb! I read the link and noticed that we can't really know. It seems to be different ways of interpretation which would mean to me that we can never really be sure what it means. Someone here has once told me that their worship is what they interpret from the Scriptures...it seems to make sense. |
