All referals to Jereusalem by the Prophets was telling of the "New Jereusalem.

Jesus told the Samaritan woman John 4:21 there would be no future worship in Jereusalem.

I've had a Vampie novel in the back of my mind for several years that starts with the Anabaptist rebellion of Munster and flashes to a Vampire based on Benny Hinn (claims he is Israeli to cover his 500 year old european accent)

I have my own theory about the name Jerusalem-I think it was originally Jebusalem-the peace of the Jebusites-advertising its theorectical impregnibility
