As the elevation to cardinal of USCCB president Timothy Dolan approaches, there are now musings of the heretofore impossibility of an American (sic!) pope.

In this eventuality I think we can all expect the rollback of Vatican II to increase momentum.

While on sabbatical in Quebec, I watched "Les Canayens" beat "Les Leafs" for the Stanley Cup; a veritable reenactment of the Plains of Abraham, with a different twist.

The students rioted in the dorm, hurling TV and lobby furniture, smashing windows. I escaped the rampage with only a few liquour stains and locked myself in my room. (And even managed to finish the Office before midnight!).
