John17: 4 “I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do

If Jesus (before he died) accomplished all what God ask him to do, why (death) was not on his list?

If Jesus was sent to die, isn't true, he will say instead (before his death): My mission is not

accomplished yet?

Was not Jesus' mission finished when on the  cross Jesus said...."it is finished"?

There is nowhere Jesus ever claim that he was sent to die.

take up your cross and follow?

Mt 20:17  And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Lu 18:31 ¶ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

>>>Too many people die everyday, and it's finished for them.

God sent Jesus on a mission to accomplish several things.

What these works Jesus accomplished before his death, which he claim in the above verse?

Are you saying that the people of that time never witnessed a crucifixion?

It might not make any sense to someone of our time because we don't use that form of capital punishment.  But, to people who saw the process..often...it would make all the sense in the wrld.

I know of nowhere in "son of man" literature where it says the son of man will be mocked, spitefully treated, spit upon, scourged, put to death or even rise again on the third day.
Can you direct me to some prophetic references?

Other wise I have to dismiss Mt. 20 and Lk. 18 as theological inserts, according to Luke 24:13 where the resurrected Jesus revealed to them at that time, he explained the passages about himself. Until that time they had no idea. It wasn't till after the fact the Cleopas and the disciples began to say Jesus' kingdom is not of this world, and used sometimes dubious prophet sayings to support it.
