I think people became frustrated with the restrictions as to what couldn't be discussed ("sacred texts," for one), resulting in many deleted posts. Also, if one is a member in good standing with the CoS, posting on "unauthorized" sites is frowned upon (or so I surmise). I know there's an Ex-SCNers discussion board on the Internet where many old b-net posters go.
